PEARSON, CLARA MAY (NEE: WESTLAKE) - Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at the Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home to pay last respects to Mrs. Clara May Pearson, 89, a former resident of 247 N. Second Street, Tipp City. She died Tuesday morning at the Villa Convalescent Center at Troy. Born on May 7, 1885, she was the daughter of John Benton and Mary Jane Robbins Westlake. She was married on January 28, 1904 to Rufus O. Pearson, who passed away in 1964. Survivors include her son, Col. Ralph E. Pearson of Austin, Texas, three grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were another son, Herbert; two brothers, Clarke and William Westlake; and a sister, Pearl Eickmeyer. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Friday. The Reverend Clifford Jacobsen, pastor of the First Baptist Church, of which she was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
