SOLOMON, ROLAND G. - Area relatives have returned from services on March 25 in Standish, Michigan, for Roland G. Solomon, 39, who died of a heart attack at his home on Saturday, March 22. He was the son of Mrs. Da Lee Solomon Gilliam of 2009 West Ste. Rte 571 and the late Ralph G. Solomon, the grandson of Mrs. Loa Ethel Dutton of Tipp City, brother of James Solomon, former Bethel resident, and of Harry Gilliam Jr., of Singer Road. The Miami County native was an Air Force veteran and was employed by Chevrolet Division of General Motors Corporation at Bay City, Michigan for 18 years. The Reverend R. Herman officiated at final rites in the R. O. Savage Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Logan Township Cemetery at Prescott, Michigan. Other survivors include his wife, Joan Caverly Solomon; two sons and a daughter; five sisters, Charlotte Whitaker, Barbara Bowskier, Mary Lou Welbaum, Leah Ann Kiser and Betty Howar; and another brother, William Solomon.
