AKE, MRS. ALTA MARIE - Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Tobias Funeral Home in Dayton for the mother of Mrs. Dorothy Ankeney, 812 West Main Street. Mrs. Alta Marie Ake, 79, of 6111 Rip Rap Road in Wayne Township, died on February 7 at the Washington Manor North Nursing Home. Mrs. Ake was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W., in 1955. In addition to Mrs. Ankeney, other survivors included three more daughters, Flossie Poleus of Boulder City, Nevada, Elnora Horstman and Patricia Guy, both of Dayton; three sons, Louis of New Carlisle, Frederick and Ralph, both of Dayton; 17 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church. Pastor William C. Miller officiated at the final rites. Burial was in Willow View Cemetery.
