BATTSON, BLANCHE DONNA (NEE: DRAKE) - Blanche Donna Battson,
79, of the Riverside Nursing Home in Troy, died there May 24. She was the
daughter of the late Frank and Otta Covault Drake and was married to the
late James Ray Battson. Surviving are two children, Donna Shook of
Washington and Eugene Battson of Troy, three brothers, Cecil Drake of
Dayton, Clarence Drake of Florida, Paul Drake of Eaton; five sisters,
Mildred Grockett of Troy, Geraldine Collingsworth of Tipp City and Ellen
Hoffman of Dayton. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Hale
Sarver Funeral Home in West Milton. Rev. Ted Landis officiated. Burial was
in Wheelock Cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul Butts, Dave Collins, Robert
Battson, Roger Battson, John Penrod, Dan Knisly and Tom Geigler.
