EVERS, CHARLES ROY SR. - Charles Roy Evers Sr., 69, of 6254 East State Route 440, Tipp City, died Wednesday, August 8, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Dayton. Surviving are his wife, Stella Evers; two sons, Charles Evers, Jr., Medway, Tom Evers, Cleveland; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Betty) Whitaker, Dayton, Mrs. Thomas (Beverly) Talbott Sr., Dayton; three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Pooler, Dayton, Mrs. Charles (Vera) Patterson, and Mrs. Roy (Margaret) Hess, both of Xenia; three brothers, Omer Evers, William Evers, both of Dayton, Elmer Evers, New Lebanon, and several grandchildren. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 1527 and was a retired electrician at Kastle Electric Company, Dayton. Private funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Frings & Bayliff Funeral Home. Rev. Elam Dohner officiated. Burial was in Bear Creek Cemetery, Dayton. There were no calling hours.
