SAGER, MRS. MARY - Piqua - Mrs. Mary Sager, widow of the late John Sager, died Monday evening at 6 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harley McCabe, No. 321 Spring Street.  Mrs. Sager had been ill only since last Thursday night suffering from pneumonia.  The deceased was a native of Miami County and passed her entire life within its borders.  She was born near Tippecanoe City.  As a young woman, she married John Sager, in August 1868, with whom she lived happily 38 years or until his death 6 years ago.  To them were given three children of whom but one, Mrs. Harley McCabe, is living.  She is survived also by one brother, John Bayhour, of Troy.  Forty years were spent upon a farm near Midway.  Four years ago Mrs. Sager gave up the burden and responsibilities of conducting her farm and housekeeping and came to Piqua to live with her daughter, Mrs. McCabe.  For more than 50 years she was a faithful member and communicant of the English Lutheran Church at Troy.  She leaves many friends to mourn her death.  The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the McCabe home on Spring Street.  The service was conducted by her pastor, the Rev. Paulus, of Troy.  Interment was in Riverside Cemetery at Troy.
