Funeral Rites To Be Thursday
Funeral
services will be conducted for O. P. Jay at 2:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon at
his house on North Main Street Pleasant Hill.
Mr. Jay passed away at 12:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon following an
illness of several weeks as the result of several strokes of paralysis.
He lived a long and useful life of seventy-nine years all of which were
spent in Miami County. He was a
highly respected citizen of Pleasant Hill, devoted to his wife and family and
also beloved by a large circle of friends.
He and his devoted companion had traveled the pathway of life together
for more than sixty years.
Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Vinnie Black of near
Pleasant Hill and Mrs. Fanny Perry of near Covington, two sons, E. D. Jay of
near Covington and Furnas Jay east of Pleasant Hill, fourteen grandchildren and
nine great grandchildren.
Rev.
W. G. Kershner will officiate at the funeral services and interment will be made
in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in charge of E. E. Geeting.
