Mary Etta Fox

Mary Etta Honeyman Fox, daughter of James and Elizabeth Honeyman and the fourth child of ten children, five boys and five girls was born March 28, 1850 in the Nashville Church vicinity. All grew to manhood and womanhood except one.

She was united in marriage to Daniel Webster Fox, June 26, 1870. He passing away in 1883. Three daughters were born to this union. Annie, Althea and Peral all of whom preceded their mother in death.

Surviving are a son-in-law James R. Davis, Dayton, two grand daughters, Mrs. Norma Dugan, Port Arthur, Texas, Mrs. Elizabeth Moore, Chicago, Ill., two great-grandchildren; three grandsons, Maynard and Lowell, of Dayton and Ivan Davis of Chicago. One brother also, Ira Honeyman residing southwest of Pleasant Hill, Ohio.

She was a faithful member of the First Brethren Church of Pleasant Hill and here she will be missed by her many friends. She left with friends for her winter home in St. Cloud, Fla. Sunday, September 26th. Here she suffered a stroke of paralysis Oct. 18th., being confined to her bed until her death Thursday night, November 18th at her home in St. Cloud, at the age of 87 years, 7 months and 23 days.

She was tenderly cared for in her illness by a friend, Mrs. Thelma Jenkins Hilderbrand.
