Casstown, April 5 - Charles Johnson, 64, employee of the Hobart Brothers company, Troy died at 1:45 pm Friday of a heart attack suffered while working in the garden at his home. Born October 1, 1882 near Conover, he was a son of William and Mary Morton Johnson and was married to Esther Mahan, June 22, 1929. A member of Lostcreek Christian church, he was a former telegraph operator for the Pennsylvania Railroad at Conover and was employed at the Hobart Brothers company, Troy, at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, Esther, four sisters, Mrs. David Kiser, Piqua; Mrs. Frank Reeder of Piqua; Mrs. Harry Shank, near Conover and Mrs. Bert Howett, Casstown. Two brothers preceded him in death. Funeral services will be conducted at the residence at 2:30 pm Monday in charge of the Rev. Edward B. Fischer. Burial will be in Casstown cemetery.

CASSTOWN RESIDENT STRICKEN IN GARDEN
Charles Johnson, 65, dropped dead in the garden of his home at Casstown yesterday afternoon at 1:45 o'clock. He was stricken as he spaded in his garden. The deceased was well known here, and is a brother of Mrs. Harry Shank, Green township, frequently visiting in her home. His other sisters are Mrs. David Kiser, Mrs. Frank Reeder, Piqua; Mrs. Bert Howett, Casstown. His wife, Mrs. Esther Mahan Johnson, to whom he was married on January 22, 1929, survives. In his earlier years the deceased was a telegraph operator, employed with the Pennsylvania railroad. His most recent employment was with Hobart brothers in Troy. Funeral rites will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the residence in charge of Rev. Ed Fisher. Interment will be in the Casstown cemetery.
