Joseph D. Cyphers passed away Saturday evening at 5:30 o'clock at Memorial Hospital after an illness of 6 weeks. He was born at Plattsville in Shelby County of April 12, 1851, and had lived in Piqua for the past 10 years, where he cultivated a host of friends who joined with his family in morning his loss. He is survived by two sons, Charles Cyphers of Piqua and Harry Cyphers of Fort Wayne, Ind; and one brother, Frank Cyphers of Troy. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock at Mrs Owen Conley's Funeral Parlors at 323 E Ash Street. Burial will be made at Urbana.
