Funeral services for Mrs. Etta Viola Huffman, 72, well known resident of the Houston community, who died Thursday in the home of her son, W. H. Huffman, R R 1, Piqua, will be at 2 o'clock from the Houston Congregational Christian Church and interment made in the Houston cemetery. Rev. Schlotterbeck will officiate. The remains are at the late residence in Houston where friends may call until the funeral hour. Mrs. Huffman, widow of Ben Huffman, had been in failing health for a year, her illness beginning when she suffered a stroke a year ago. She passed away at 3:55 o'clock Friday morning while visiting in the country home of her son. Born on December 28, 1870, in London, Ohio, the late Mrs. Etta Francis Huffman was a daughter of Jacob and Harriet Francis and had resided in Houston 40 years. She was a member of the Houston Congregational Christian Church and married Benjamin Huffman December 28, 1892. Surviving are four sons, W. H. Huffman, R R 1, Piqua, G. H. Huffman, of Covington, Cletus Huffman, of Piqua, and Alvin Huffman of Houston; two daughters, Mrs. Frances Littlejohn and Mrs. Fern Deaton of Troy; a sister, Mrs. Jennie Koocher of Basil, Ohio, and a brother, George Francis of Mechanicsburg.
