Casstown, April 2 Sarah Ellen Mahan, 90, a resident of Casstown for 53 years, died at her home here at 2 pm Tuesday of infirmities of old age. She had been ill for several months. She was born July 18, 1856, in Shelby county, the daughter of James and Harriet Dorsey Moon, one of a family of seven children. She married Charles Alexander Mahan in 1875 and he died in 1910. Mrs. Mahan was a member of Charity Chapel Christian church. Surviving are two sons, Elmer of Casstown and Ellis of Troy; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Jackson of Casstown; a brother, William Moon of near Fletcher; a sister, Mrs. Lodema Suber of Fletcher; 10 grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Leota Lake, died in 1945, and two other children died in infancy. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 pm Thursday from the Suber funeral home, Fletcher, the Rev. Edward B. Fischer officiating. Burial will be in Plattsville cemetery. Friends may call at the home of the daughter here until Thursday noon and at the funeral home until the hour of services.
