Conover, O, August 13 - Residents of this village and vicinity were saddened by the news of the death of Mrs. Julia Verdier Worthington, 66, wife of Wilbur E. Worthington, well-known farmer of this community, at 5:30 o'clock this morning at their home just north of Lena. Death was attributed to a heart ailment, her condition having been serious for about one week, though she had been in poor health for some time. Mrs. Worthington was born in Green township in Shelby county and had resided in this vicinity practically all of her life, being known to a wide circle of friends and acquaintances. She was married to Wilbur Worthington 40 years ago. She was a member of the Charity Chapel church, the Ladies Aid Society of that church and the Order of Eastern Stars, being active in the work of those organizations until poor health sometime ago precluded her generous cooperative endevors. Survivors include the husband, four sisters, Mrs. Stella Watkins, who cared for her during her last illness; Mrs. Earl White of Conover; Mrs. Carrie Frazier of Millersburg; Mrs. Hattie Shaw of Sidney and one brother, P .F. Verdier of Conover. Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Fletcher Baptist church with Rev Ross McNeal of Plattsburg, former pastor of the Charity Chapel church in charge. Burial will be made in the Fletcher cemetery.

Mrs. Julia A. Worthington, 66, died at her home in Miami County near Lena, Saturday morning at five o'clock. The deceased had been in ill health for the past four years having suffered two paralytic strokes. Mrs. Worthington was the daughter of Paul and Sarah Verdier and was born January 22,1872 near Baulou in Green township. On December 26, 1897, she was united in marriage to Wilbur Worthington, who survives her. Surviving also are four sisters and one brother, Mrs. Charles Frazier, of Millerburg; Mrs. Cora Watkins, of Casstown; Mrs. S. B. Shaw, Mrs. Earl White and P. F. Verdier, of Sidney. One brother, Cyrus Verdier died in childhood. She was a life long member of the Charity Chapel Christian church. Funeral services Monday afternoon at three o'clock from the Baptist Church in Fletcher with Rev McNeil in charge. Burial in the Fletcher cemetery.
