Mrs.
Minerva Weddell
North Clayton....Mrs. Weddell, an old citizen died at her home here Saturday morning of heart disease. Minerva Yount was born in Lafayette Indiana 19 March 1830 and died at her home in North Clayton 22 Oct 1904 aged 74 years. She was united in holy matrimony to William Weddel on 1 July 1851 by Rev Richard Beandon. To this union were born seven children; Sarah Elizabeth; Rebecca Jane; David D.; Emma Belle; Margaret Anna; Nary Catharine; and William H. Her beloved husband and two daughters proceeded her to the better world. There are remaining Mrs. Elizabeth Heckendorn; David; Mrs. Emma Heoffe; William H. Weddle; eight grandchildren; three step-brothers; two step-sisters, and a host of other relatives to morn her loss. She was one time a member of the Methodist Church, but when the Christian Church was organized at Greenville Creek she united with that church in January 1869 under Iddings and Duncan, of which she remained a faithful member till her Heavenly Father called her home. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and was blessed by all who knew her. For many years she had prayed that the end would come soon and that it come peacefully.
