Daniel Chrowl, 57, gardener, committed suicide Saturday morning by hanging himself in the barn at his residence of the Piqua-Urbana Pike one mile east of Piqua. Ill health and business reverses were given as the causes for the rash deed. The body was found by a son, hanging from a rafter in the barn. Chrowl had used a harness strap to strangle himself with. The victim had arisen at 5:00 o'clock Saturday morning and had gone to the barn apparently to attend to his morning work. When he did not return the family became alarmed and the body was found by the son who had gone in search of his father. The decedent is survived by his widow, Bertha Chrowl, three sons, Omar, Maurice, and Herman, and one step-son Emory Wenrick.
