Ira Laughman, 74, residing about three miles west of Covington just off the paved road a short distance, passed away this morning about 8:00 o'clock of lingering illness. He was a retired farmer and was well known in this vicinity and in Bradford. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren and attended while he enjoyed good health. Surviving besides his widow are four daughters, Mrs. Oscar Oburn, Mrs. William Oburn of near Pleasant Hill, Mrs. Frank Walker, Piqua, Mrs. Ray Palser of north of Covington and one son, Wilbert D. Laughman of near Piqua. He is also survived by four brothers, William Laughman, Bradford, Dave Laughman, Pleasant Hill, Ed Laughman, Troy, and Charles Laughman of near Piqua. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 at the home, Rev. Porter of Bradford officiating; interment in Harris Creek Cemetery.
