Mrs. Laura Jones, wife of Judge Walter D. Jones died at 6:30 o'clock Monday evening at the home in Piqua following an illness of 11 weeks, seven of which were passed at the Piqua Memorial Hospital. She was 78 years of age. Mrs. Jones was for many years prominent socially and was an active member of the St. James Episcopal Church. In the past she had held several diocesan offices from time to time. She was also a member of the Woman's Guild of the church and one of the oldest members of the Fortnightly Club, with which she had been affiliated since 1889. Besides her husband, Judge Jones, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lola Hill and two grandchildren, Shirley Randolph Turner and Charlotte Turner. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at St. James Episcopal Church with Rev. Maxfield officiating. Interment will be made in the Forrest Hill Cemetery.
