Dies At Dayton
Covington Resident Dies in Dayton Hospital. Rites Tuesday Afternoon
Mrs. Minerva Furnas Rhodes, wife of Will Rhodes passed away early Sunday morning at 1:15 o'clock at a Dayton hospital following an extended illness. She was 83 years of age. The deceased is well known in this community with a wide circle of friends. She was a devout member of the Church of the Brethren. Surviving besides the husband are ten children; six daughters and four sons; Mrs. Albert Koffer of Dayton, Miss Mabel Furnas of Jacksonville, Florida, Mrs. John Sillman of Covington, Mrs. Effie Furlong of Arcanum, Mrs. Olive Mauk of Versailles, Mrs. Grace ?outh of Spencerville, Ed Furnas of Piqua, Homer Furnas of San Francisco, California, Harley Furnas of Indianapolis, and William B. Furnas of West Milton; two sisters, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, and a number of other relatives also survive. Three children Cora, Willis and Esther preceded her in death. Funeral services have been arranged for Tuesday afternoon and will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock at the G. W. Miller Funeral Home and at 2:30 o'clock at the Church of the Brethren. Rev. G. L. Wine will officiate. Interment will be made in the Highland Cemetery.
