Mrs. Gideon Rench Dies Thursday Eve
Illness Is Fatal to Mrs. Gideon Rench. Services Will Be Held Saturday at 4 O'clock Mrs. Hannah Rench, wife of Gideon Rench, passed away Thursday evening at 9 o'clock at her home on E. Walnut St., following an extended illness of 6 months duration due to complications of diseases. She had been critically ill for the past 6 weeks. She was 73 years of age. Prominent and well known in Covington and vicinity Mrs. Rench had a wide acquaintance of friends who were saddened over the news of her death. She and her husband have resided on E. Walnut St., for 52 years. She was affiliated with the Congregational Christian Church and was an interested and active member of that congregation for many years. She was a member of the Circle Class of the Church School. Surviving besides the husband are four children, two daughters Mrs. Mellie Long and Mrs. Agnes Thomas of Covington, and two sons J. G. Rench of Covington and Dr. L. R. Rench of Cleveland; a sister Mrs. Margaret Harrison of Piqua; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and a cousin Mrs. Anna Pfistner of Troy, and many friends by whom she was highly respected. Funeral services have been arranged for Saturday afternoon and a brief service will be held at the residence at 3:30 o'clock and at 4 o'clock at the Congregational Christian Church. Rev. Cecil Leek will officiate. Interment will be made in the Highland Cemetery under the direction of Walter E. Routzahn.
