Mrs. Henrietta May Clark
Henrietta May Clark the daughter of John and Henrietta Kauffman was born Nov. 15, 1857 at Covington, Ohio. At the age of 6 she went to live with her aunt and uncle at Englewood where she remained most of the time until she was 18 years, when she returned to Covington and spent the remainder of her life. On Feb. 6, 1879 she was united in marriage to Thomas Clark. to this union were born 8 children, 7 of whom survive, William Clark of Covington, Tessie Neisley of Pleasant Hill, Ana Harris of Covington, Elizabeth Adams of Covington, Lucy Cress of Medway, Charles Clark of Covington, and Thomas Clark of Covington. Ora Clark having passed away in 1922. On Feb. 6, 1929 Mr. and Mrs. Clark celebrated their Golden Wedding. Mother Clark had been in failing health for 12 years, but was only bedfast for a little over ? weeks. She suffered in silence for a long time until God relieved her on Monday morning March 19th, at the age of 76 years 4 months and 4 days. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, 7 children, 27 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. She also leaves one brother, Charles Kauffman of Troy, a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives. The family wishes to thank the neighbors and friends at this time.
