Bradford Resident Called In Death Sunday Evening
Mrs. Emma Weaver Mers
Mrs. Emma Weaver Mers prominent Bradford resident passed away Sunday evening at 9:30 o'clock at her home on S. Miami Avenue following an extended illness. Preceding her death Mrs. Mers had been bedfast for 3 weeks suffering from complication of diseases, she had been in failing health for the past year during which time she submitted to 2 operations for cataract of the eye which tended toward weakening her condition. She was 79 years of age. The deceased was a life long resident of Darke County where she has a wide circle of friends. Surviving are the husband, Mr. S. B. Mers and a son Mr. Walter Weaver of Bradford. A sister Mrs. Mary Houndeshell of Gettysburg and a brother Willis West of Circle Hill, besides a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Bradford Methodist church where she had been a faithful member for a number of years. Burial will be made in the Gettysburg Cemetery.
