An Esteemed Typo Gone
John H. Conklin died at the old family residence on Sunday, in the 39th year of his age, of paralysis, with which he was stricken November 4th. The deceased was an employee in the government printing office at Washington, a position he had worthily won in a competitive examination. He had returned home in October to spend his annual vacation. For many years, he was the job printer of the MIAMI UNION Office, where he was a prime favorite and an excellent and faithful workman. His kind and genial nature endeared him to a large circle of friends and he will be greatly missed by all who were acquainted with his sterling worth as a man. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon and the remains interred at Rose Hill Cemetery according to the solemn rites of the Odd Fellows of which order he had been an old and honored member.
