Dr. George Y. Hall
Passes away Saturday A.M.
Rites For Prominent Dentist Are Held Monday Afternoon At His Home
Funeral services for Dr. George Y. Hall were held Monday afternoon on E. Walnut Street, at 2 o'clock with Rev. Cecil Leek, pastor of the Congregational Christian Church, officiating. An impressive service by the Scottish Rite of Dayton was also conducted. Dr. Hall passed away early Saturday morning at 2 o'clock following an illness due to heart trouble. He was confined to his home several weeks prior to his death. He was 57 years of age. The deceased, one of Covington's most prominent citizens had practiced dentistry here for more than 30 years. He was a lifelong resident of Covington and will be sadly missed by his many friends and business associates. He was a member of the Congregational Christian Church. Dr. Hall was a member of the local Masonic Lodge and also belonged to the Scottish Rite at Dayton and the Jr. O.U.A.M. at Troy. He belonged to the Western Ohio Sate and American Dental Associations, and was a life member of the American Trap Shooters Association. Surviving the deceased besides the widow, Mrs. Mary Hall are two daughters, Eleanor and Nancy Jane. Interment was made in the Highland Cemetery under the direction of Roll Whitmer of Dayton.
