Joseph M. Houser
Dies On Wednesday
Joseph Merril Houser passed away at six thirty o'clock this morning at his home, 308 Fourth Street, after being in failing health for the past three years, his condition becoming critical six weeks ago. Mr. Houser was born on December 11, 1858, being sixty-nine years of age at the time of his death. He was born in Springcreek Township and has been a resident of Piqua for the past thirty-five years. He was a member of the Red Men and of the Bethel M. E. Church. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Lenta Houser; two daughters, Mrs. Walter Rickman of Detroit, Mrs. Warren Cooper of Piqua; two brothers, William, of Piqua, and James of near Piqua; one sister, Mrs. Carrie Scudder of Piqua and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the late residence on Fourth street at two 9 o'clock on Friday afternoon, the Rev. Gowdy officiating. Interment at Forest Hill cemetery.
