Gus Heckman
Rites Friday Afternoon
Will Be Held At Residence at 2:00 O'clock With Interment At Bethel Cemetery Near Phillipsburg. Funeral Services for Mr. Gus Heckman who passed away suddenly at his home in Phillipsburg Wednesday morning at 8 o'clock have been arranged for Friday afternoon and will be conducted at the residence at 2 o'clock. Rev. O. S. Thomas, his pastor will officiate. Mr. Heckman's sudden death came as a shock to his relatives and many friends as he had been enjoying good health. Death resulted from a heart attack. He was 72 years of age. The deceased was born and reared on a farm near Greenville Creek and is widely known in this community. He was a devout member of the Congregational Christian Church and was very active in church work. He was also affiliated with the Masonic and Odd Fellows Lodges. Surviving besides the widow, Mrs. Martha Heckman is one sister, Mrs. Laura Pearson of Columbus and a number of more distant relatives and a large number of friends. Interment will be made in the Bethel Cemetery near Phillipsburg.
