J. L. McMaken
Dies Sunday
Covington relatives have received word of the death of Mr. J. L. McMaken of Detroit, Michigan who passed away at his home Sunday at 4:20 P.M. following a lingering illness. Mr. McMaken was born and reared in Covington and has a number of relatives and friends here. A brief funeral service will be held at the late residence in Detroit Tuesday, with the pastor of the Methodist Church on Detroit officiating. The body will then be shipped to Covington and a service will be held at the Funeral Parlors of George W. Miller under the direction of the Odd Fellows of Covington Lodge of which he was a member. The body of the deceased will arrive here about 8 o'clock Tuesday evening and will lie in state at the Miller Funeral Parlors. Mr. McMaken is survived by his widow and two daughters and two sons all residing in Detroit. A sister Mrs. Emma Longanecker of Covington and two brothers Mr. C. S. McMaken of N. High St., and Mr. F. L. McMaken of Piqua also survive. Interment will be made in the Highland Cemetery under the direction of Geo. W. Miller.
