Obituary
William Laudenslayer
William Laudenslayer son of the late George and Elizabeth Laudenslayer, was born in Montgomery County, Ohio, June 8, 1865. When about four years of age he came with his parents to Newton Tp. Miami county, where he resided the remainder of his life. About thirteen years ago he moved from the farm to the village of Pleasant Hill. On June 12th, 1890 he was united in marriage with Mina Lon who remains to mourn the loss of a faithful husband and loving companion. This union was blessed with two sons, Frank of Pleasant Hill, and Judson who preceded his father in death about eleven years ago. He also leaves four grandchildren; William, Lois, Joy, and Buddy Laudenslayer, four sisters; Mrs. Ella Bowers, Mrs. Sarah Driver, Mrs. Anna Long of Pleasant Hill, and Mrs. Clara Trost of Tippecanoe City to cherish his memory. Mr. Laudenslayer was a most loyal and faithful member of the Pleasant Hill Christian Church for more than forty years, and for many years held one of the most responsible offices in the church- that of deacon. And it may be truthfully said of him as it was of St. Stephen and Barnabas of the early church - "He was a good man".
