Mary Ann Waitman Dies Early Thursday
Last Rites for Mrs. Mary Waitman Will Be Held Sat. P.M. Burial at Abbottsville.
Mrs. Mary Ann Waitman passed away early Thursday morning at the home of her son, Mr. Frank Waitman at 12:15 A.M. near Circle Hill, following an extended illness. Mrs. Waitman, a paralytic victim, has been in failing health for the past three years. Death was attributed to complications of the diseases. She was 74 years of age. Mrs. Waitman is well known with many friends, having lived in the vicinity where she passed away, for the past 26 years. She was a devout member of the Circle Hill Congregational Christian Church. Immediate survivors include 3 children, two daughters, Mrs. Mina Eikenberry of Laura and Mrs. Susie Wiles of Painter Creek and a son, Mr. Frank Waitman. Twenty grandchildren and 5 great grand- children also survive. A daughter, Mrs. Ida Dunn passed away in March 1935. Since the death of her husband 14 years ago, Mrs. Waitman had resided in the homes of her children. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Circle Hill Christian Church. Rev. J. A. Pantle, United Brethren minister of Greenville, will officiate. Interment will be made in the Abbottsville Cemetery under the direction of Miller Bro. of Versailles.
