Nancy Sue Furlong Dies This Morning
Nancy Sue Furlong, Victim Of Meningitis, Succumbs At Dayton Hospital This Morning
Following an extended illness of seven weeks duration, the death angel summoned Nancy Sue Furlong, 17-month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Luther J. Furlong, this morning at 9:30 o'clock. On December 29th, Nancy Sue was removed to the Good Samaritan hospital in Dayton for special treatment for spinal meningitis, contracting from the flu. Despite all possible efforts of medical science and special care her condition grew worse, resulting in her death. Surviving besides the bereaved parents are the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Furlong of Pleasant Hill, and Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Ehler of Laura, and a number of other relatives and friends who were dearly attached to her by her lovable disposition. Private funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Ehler home near Laura. Mr. H. C. Marlin pastor of the Covington Tabernacle will officiate. Interment will be made in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Roy Miller of West Milton.

Obituary
Nancy Sue Furlong was born near Laura, Ohio September 6th 1934 and passed away February 5th 1936, lacking one day of being 17 months of age. At the Christmas season she became seriously ill and on December 29th was removed to the hospital where she passed away after seven weeks of suffering. She is survived by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Luther Furlong, her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. John Furlong, Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Ehler, and many other relatives.
