Mrs. Fahnestock Called By Death
Mrs. Marla Fahnestock passed away in Seattle, Washington on November 13, 1933. For several years her home was on Wright Street Covington, Ohio. Later she made her home in Seattle. In her active years she possessed a bright, alert mind. She was a student for a time at Antioch College in the early sixties, and later she was a teacher. Her health was greatly impaired in the last eighteen years of her life and during this time she was tenderly cared for by her daughter, Carolyn, and other near relatives. She had reached the age of nearly ninety years. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. A. J. Falknor and Mrs. Carolyn F. Hopkins and her son, John, all of whom reside in Seattle. Her body was cremated in Seattle and the ashes sent to Covington to be supultured in the same earth were the body of her husband Isaac Fahnestock, was laid to rest in the year 1885. The interment of the ashes was made Friday, January 19th 1934 in the presence of a number of Mrs. Fahnestock's friends of former years. The committal service was read by Rev. Harry P. Rogers.
