Rites Are Held Monday
Funeral services for Mr. J. W. Myers who passed away at the home of his daughter Mrs. C. E. Aspinall Friday evening following a brief illness, were held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Aspinall home on E. Broadway. His pastor Rev. B. L. Stroup officiated. Mr. Myers was only ill a short time. He suffered a stroke of apoplexy on Friday morning which terminated in his death which occurred at 7:20 P.M. He was 86 years of age. The deceased was widely known having been a lifelong resident of this vicinity. He was a retired farmer. He was a devout member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Aspinall with whom he made his home and seven grandchildren, Mrs. Forrest Huffman, Mrs. D. L. Williams and Roy Hecker of Piqua, Mrs. Emerson Feeser, Mrs. Carl Miller and Mrs. John McCool of Covington and Mrs. H. E. Yost of Wilder, Idaho and 15 great grandchildren. His wife and two daughters have preceded him in death. Interment was made in Highland Cemetery under the direction of George W. Miller.
