Mr. Earlen Hare
Earlen Hare, son of David and Mahala Hare was born in West Covington, Ohio, Nov. 28, 1899 and departed this life, April 23, 1927 aged 27 years, 4 months and 25 days. The first years of his life were spent in Covington but for the last eleven years, he has resided in Piqua, Ohio. His father preceded him in death nine years ago. June 29, 1922 he was united in marriage with Lillie Miller. Oct. 15, 1922 he was received into the membership of the Church of the Brethren at Covington by the ordinance of baptism. He was loyal to the church which he greatly loved and continued one of its devoted members until the day of his decease. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillie Hare, his mother, Mrs. Mahala Hare, and the following brothers, Roy Hare, Ray Hare, and John Hare all of Piqua. He was a young man of sterling character and was known as one who lived the life of a conscientious Christian. He was devoted to his wife, his home and his loved ones. Many are the fine tributes which we will hear from those who knew him and were associated with him in the work of life. By his kindly and genial attitude he had endeared himself to a large circle of friends. In his passing, his wife loses a kind and very devoted husband, his mother loses an appreciative son and his brothers lose one who ever delighted to be a part of their life and plans. The church loses one who was not only a devoted member but who also enjoyed his religious life. The city loses an industrious and true hearted and valued citizen. His fellow employees lose one whom they highly regarded. A large circle of friends write in their sympathy for the bereaved wife, mother and brothers.
