Barnhart Holfinger Services Tuesday
Barnhart Holfinger, 97, formerly of 104 S. Wall, Covington, retired farmer, died at 8:50 p.m. Friday at the Bethany Lutheran Village near Centerville, where he had resided for three years. He was ill three weeks. Born in Washington Twp, June 24, 1863, he was last of a family of 14 children of John Bernhard and Agnes Barbara Streib Holfinger. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church at Covington. Surviving are three sons, Earl and Raymond of Rt. 1, Covington, and Ora Holfinger of Troy; seven grandchildren, and 12 great-grand-children. His wife, the former Emma Mutschler, died in 1948. The Rev. George Stadler will conduct services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Church, Covington, with burial in Highland Cemetery, Covington. Friends may call at the Routzahn Funeral Home, Covington, after noon Monday until the body is taken to the church Tuesday noon.
