Apoplexy Is Fatal To Ellis Johnston
Ellis Johnston, 60, died early this morning following a stroke of apoplexy at his home on Walnut St., Troy, Ohio.
The deceased is well known in this vicinity having spent his boyhood days midway between Covington and Troy on the Troy Pike and for many years resided with his family on a farm just a short distance from his old home.
Later in life he with his family moved to Troy where he was engaged in operating a filling station and at the time of his death he was employed by the State Highway Department as overseer.
Surviving besides his widow are two daughters Mrs. Fannie Iddings, West of Troy, Mrs. Mary ??ozell, Troy and two sons Leo at home and Russel of West of Troy. He is also survived by a stepmother Mrs. Augie Johnston of Covington and the following brothers and sisters, Stella Slack, Grace Sotzing, Clark Johnston, Frank Johnston of near Troy and Amanda Gibboney of Covington. His father Joseph Johnston preceded him in death just a short time ago. Funeral services have not been announced.
