Aged Covington Lady Dies After Long Illness

Mrs. Mina Routson Succumbs To Pneumonia. Has Been Ill Following Accident For Several Months. Mrs. Mina Routson, 84, widow of the late Abesolin Routson, passed away Saturday April 12th at 4:45 P. M. at the home of her niece, Miss Lucy Purdy on Walnut Street.  Some five or six months ago, she had the misfortune of breaking her hip from which she never recovered, pneumonia developing about a week ago, causing her death.  In her youth she was proprietor of a millinery shop in the rooms now occupied by the Post Office. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Piqua and attended regularly when health would permit. She is survived by three nieces Miss Lucy Purdy with whom she made her home, Mrs. Grace Branson of Piqua, Mrs. Minton of Bradford and one nephew, John Purdy of Piqua besides a host of friends and other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted from the Miller funeral home on South Pearl St., Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 P.M. by Dr. Brewer of Piqua. Interment in Highland Cemetery.
