Mrs. Elizabeth Searl Hamilton

Mrs. Elizabeth Searl Hamilton, daughter of Samuel and Harriet, was born in the state of Missouri, Aug, 28, 1869 and died at her late home near Covington, Ohio, Sunday, March 25, 1928, aged 58 years, 6 months, and 27 days.  Oct. 25, 1888 she was united in marriage with Robert H. Hamilton. To this union were born two children, one daughter Reathia M. and one son William S. The son preceded his mother in death Feb. 14, 1897.  Mrs. Hamilton united with the United Brethren Church at Boiling Springs, Pa. 35 years ago and was always faithful in the works of her Lord and Saviour. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, daughter Mrs. Reathia Wolfe, and her son-in-law Mr. Otto Wolfe of Christiansburg, O. There are two grandchildren, Mildred and Bessie Wolfe and also a foster son, Mr. Harley S. McAfee and his family, a step mother, one sister, two brothers and three half brothers. These last are all living in the western states.  Mrs. Hamilton was a devoted, loving wife and mother whose greatest delight was to live her life in faithful sacrifice for the sake of those she so much loved. Her interest in the highest welfare of these loved ones never abated.  She was a kind neighbor and her life in the community is spoken of as being full of good deeds. Naturally she attracted to herself a large number of friends.  In her passing the family loses one whose fine Christian influence will always remain as a priceless treasure.  The community loses one whose genial deportment and deeds of helpfulness will long be remembered.  The many friends and neighbors unite in their tribute of esteem and in their expressions of sympathy in these days of sorrow and heartache.
