Sudden Call of Mrs. Francis Lyle

Mrs. Francis Lyle, the widow of Mr. John W. Lyle and mother of Mr. Boyd Lyle, was found by her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Cora Lyle at about 1:00 o'clock sitting in her chair, as though asleep, but became alarmed when she found she could not be aroused. The physician was called immediately, but found she had passed away.  Mr. Lyle had been with his mother just a few minutes before and she seemed as well as usual. She had also answered the door just after her son had gone to the grocery, and had not been alone more than ten minutes when her daughter-in-law entered. About two weeks ago she had suffered from neuralgia affecting the left side. She had seemed to recover after several days and had been about the home although watched closely by her family.  Mrs. Lyle had lived in Covington over forty years coming with her husband and son, Boyd, from Belle Center, where she and Mr. Lyle had spent their earlier life. Only six months of the time after they first came here was spent elsewhere. For a short time they resided on a farm near Troy, but did not like the farm life and returned until death.  Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Lyle and their only son, Richard remain to mourn her loss. The sympathy of many friends in the community go out to them in their sorrow.  Funeral services will probably be held from the home on Monday afternoon. Burial will be made in Highland Cemetery. Miller and son Funeral Directors.
