Death of Bella Quinter Myers at Phoenixville

A message received by C. F. McKee, pastor of the Church of the Brethren, announces the death of Mrs. Bella Quinter Myers at her home near Phoenixville, Penn. Mrs. Myers who was the daughter of Rev. James Quinter was formerly a teacher in the public schools, of Covington. She was a member of our High School Alumni and frequently sent interesting letters which were read before this association on "Alumni night."   Many people still living in our town were her pupils in former days. These have always held her in the highest esteem and we frequently hear expressions of appreciation on the part of those who had the privilege of being in her classes.  When she left Covington she became the bride of Rev. J. T. Myers who was then pastor of the Green Tree Church of Oaks, Pa. She was immediately received into the hearts of the people of that parish with the same spirit of appreciation that had been shown by those who knew her in Covington and the community surrounding.  Mrs. Myers by her fine Christian life and the fine way in which she used her talents in the service of others endeared herself to an unusually large circle of friends and fellow workers in the cause of the Lord to whom she had early dedicated her life.  There have been and still are many to rise up and call her blessed.  The Church she and her noted husband served is the same church in which her distinguished father began that ministry which afterward became so far reaching and so powerful throughout the brotherhood he loved and served.  She will be laid to rest this afternoon in the Green Tree Cemetery very close to the spot where her father was ordained to the ministry and within sight of the house where as a bride she began her life in a community which suffers a great loss in her passing.
