Mrs. Hannah Louise Mohler
Hannah Louise Royer, oldest child in a family of five children of John and Sarah Royer was born in Union County, Pa. Dec 25, 1841 and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lena Johnson in ???ttsberg, Pa. Friday morning Nov. 20, 1931, aged 89 years 10 mos. and 25 days. At the age of 8 she migrated with the family in a covered wagon to Illinois. Three months after arriving in Illinois her mother passed away. At the age of 13 the family moved from Illinois to Ohio and located near Pleasant Hill. Later they moved to the Mohler homestead about one mile south of Covington. While living here Hannah was united in marriage to Jacob Mohler on March ?, 1860 and to this union 4 children were born, three daughters and 1 son, the oldest daughter died in infancy, and the son when ? and a 1/2 years of age. Very soon after the marriage both Jacob and his wife united with the Church of the Brethren, to which faith they both have been most faithful and loyal. The husband passed away March ?, 1903. In 1910 Sister Mohler went to live with her daughter Lena in Pittsburg, Pa. Returning each year to spend the summer with her daughter Mrs. John Cassel of Greenville, O. She is survived by her two daughters: Mrs. Lena ??hnson and Mrs. Amanda Cassel; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren, besides a large number of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 3:30 Sunday afternoon at the home of the daughter in Pittsburg. Her body together with her husband will be laid to rest in Highland Cemetery in Covington, Ohio.
