He was in a very weak condition all spring, hardly able to do any work; the 11th of June he was taken to Dayton to St. Elizabeth Hospital, and there the 17th of June, 1929, his spirit went back to God. His age was 65 years, 11 mo. and 13 days. His parents were Smith and Lavina Cooper.
His first marriage was in Missouri to Florence Vangilden; to this union were born two sons Raymond and Ralph. After the death of his wife, he was again married to Miss Alice Black of Virginia. This union blessed with three children, two daughters, Dora, aged 17, May, 13 and a son Rawleigh, 16. March the 7th they moved to their present home near West Sonora, from near West Alexandria, Ohio. Thirteen years ago, he, with his wife, confessed Christ, and associated with the United Brethren Church.
