Anna Regina Kreigbaum Hoeflich was born in Tioga, Ill, November 3, 1866 and departed this life at her home in Covington, Ohio, December 18th 1928, at the age of 62 years, one month and 15 days. She was the youngest of twelve children of George and Anna Regina Kreigbaum. At the age of four years she moved to St. Louis, Mo. with her parents and two years later the family moved to Covington, Ohio, living on their farm near the Greenville Falls. January 27th, 1898, she was united in marriage to Samuel Hoeflich to whom she was a loving and devoted wife and true mother of the home. She was baptized in infancy and was confirmed to the Lutheran church in her early life. She was an active member of the St. John's Lutheran Church and the Ladies' Aid Society, of that church. She dearly loved her church work and was always happy in those duties. She was also a member of the Demoiselle Council No. 53 Daughters of Pocahontas. She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband Samuel Hoeflich, three step-children, Carl J. and G. Lafayette Hoeflich and Mrs. Cleo C. Fisher, three grand children, all of Covington. Four brothers, B. E. Kreigbaum, of Seattle, Wash; Nicolas Kreigbaum of Hanibal, Mo., Henry Kreigbaum and Jacob Kreigbaum, of Springfield, Ohio, besides a large relationship and a host of friends. Mrs. Hoeflich had been in declining health for some five years, and for the past two years she had suffered greatly at times, but bore up patiently. A good neighbor and a faithful church member has passed out of this life. "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; for thou Lord, only makest me dwell in safety."
