Lawson Macy, 69, of R R 2, Tipp City, died at 5 am today at Stouder Memorial hospital. He had been a patient there for the past nine weeks.
A native of Butler township, Montgomery county, he was born Dec 29, 1887, the son of Elia and Emma Ingle. He was a farmer and a member of the Polk Grove Congregational Christian church.
He served as a trustee of Butler township for several years.
Surviving are his wife, Edna; four sons, Everett of South Charleston, Lester of Brookville, Donald of Vandalia, Raymond of Tipp City, Dale also of South Charleston; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Mefford of Tipp City, Cecile M. Macy of R R 1, Vandalia; a brother, Clarence Macy, of Tipp City; 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2:00 pm at the Polk Grove Congregational Christian church. Burial will be in the Polk Grove cemetery. Rev. John Queens will officiate.
Friends may call at the Coppock and Lee Memorial home, Tipp City, after 2 pm Sunday until noon Monday when the body will be taken to the church.
