PARALYSIS FINALLY CAUSES C. M. McPHERSON'S DEATH
The unexpected occurred at midnight Tuesday and Cyrus M. McPherson, who was thought to be improving in health, received the final summons. Several months ago he suffered from a slight stroke of paralysis and went to Martinsville, Indiana in the hope that the baths at that resort would affect a cure. He apparently improved, but a few weeks went once more. Friday evening he returned to Troy, and while his condition was much the same, no serious results were anticipated. Mr. McPherson was a native of Miami County, being born near Casstown on January 4th, 1837. Until within the last ten years he lived in that village, eventually moving to Troy in order to better enjoy his years of rest. But a little over a year ago his wife, formerly Miss Catherine Knoop, died, and the blow was one which he felt keenly. The remains will be taken from his late resident on Friday morning to Casstown, where the services will be held in the M. E. Church and the remains interred in the local cemetery.
