Mrs. Mary Rench, 82, mother of R. O. Rench of West Water street died at 12:20 Saturday morning in her home in Covington. Her death was caused by pneumonia from which she had been suffering since Easter Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Rench were spending Easter with the former's mother when she was taken ill and he remained at her bedside until the end. The decedent was the widow of Daniel Rench who died eight years ago. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lowery Barbour and was born on the old homestead west of Troy. Her girlhood was spent on the home place and she will be remembered by a number of Troy people. Surviving are five children. R.O. Rench of Troy, Mrs. Herman Bayer, Fred and Elbert Rench of Covington and Mrs. J. F. Crane of Dayton; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Laura Bark, who made her home with Mrs. Rench and two brothers, Robert A. Barbour of Troy and E. J. Barbour of Imperial, Saskatchewan, Canada. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the Pleasant Hill Christian church. Rev. Alva M. Kerr of Dayton preached the sermon. Burial was made in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
