Rolland O. Rench, 71, widely known decorator and painter, was found dead in the bathroom of his home, 434 South Walnut street, Covington, about 9 am, March 13, after Mr. and Mrs. Edward Mouch, who reside next door had noticed a light burning in the Rench home during the night. Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Pearson, the latter a sister- in-law of Mr. Rench, who resided alone, were notified and on investigation it was found that he had passed away some time during the night. Coroner Charles Keifer of Piqua was notified and though at 12:45 he had not viewed the body, it is believed death was due to a cerebral hemorrhage possibly after midnight. Mr. Rench is said to have been in his usual health on Wednesday and had planned a trip to Dayton for Thursday. He was born January 22, 1876 in Eaton, Indiana, the son of the late Daniel and Mary Rench. He came to Troy as a young man, and for several years was a foreman for the Waco Aircraft company. His wife, who died July 18, 1940, was the former Miss Resa Berryman. Survivors are two brothers, F. E. and E. E. Rench, two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Crane and Mrs. Maude Bayer, all of Covington. Mrs. Mina Barber of Troy is an aunt. Mr. Rench attended the First Congregational Christian Church. The funeral services were Saturday at 10:30 am at the Irwin Funeral home with Rev. Arthur C. Decker of the Congregational Christian Church officiating. Burial was at Riverside. Pallbearers were Fred Younce, Edward Mouch, Edward Hirsch, George Boram, Paul Kerr and William Tyler.
