Mrs. Resa B. Rench is Victim of Long Illness; Troy Woman, Former School Teacher Passes Away at Hospital - Funeral Saturday.
Mrs. Resa Berryman Rench, wife of R. O. Rench, 423 South Walnut Street, died 6:10 pm Thursday in Stouder Memorial hospital after an extended illness. She had been a surgical patient at the hospital the last two weeks. Mrs. Rench was born west of Troy, the daughter of the late Abraham and Eliza Berryman, and had been a resident of this vicinity her entire life. She graduated from the Troy schools and attended Antioch college at Yellow Springs. She was employed as a teacher in the county school system for a number of years, retiring several years ago because of ill health. The decedent was a member of the First Congregational Christian church and of Class Eight of the Sunday school. Survivors include the husband, two brothers. Thomas Berryman of Pittsburgh, PA and Thad Berryman of near Sidney, and one sister Mrs. Leroy Pearson of South Dakota. Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the Irvin Funeral home, with interment in Riverside Cemetery. Dr. A. H. Hook will officiate.
