Mrs. Christina Wagner
Christina Boehringer was born in Belsen, Wittenberg, Germany, on October 3, 1855; departed life at her home in Covington early on the morning of June 29, 1927 making her age 71 year 9 months and 26 days.
Soon after coming to this community in the year 1881 she was united in marriage with Barnhart Wagner, who still survives. To this union seven children were born. The six living children are: George, Conrad, Barnhart, William, Agnes, and Mrs. Mary Roeth. There are six grandchildren. She was baptized in infancy and at the age of fourteen years became a confirmed member of the Lutheran Church while yet in Germany. After coming to this country became a member of St. John's congregation.
The exception of one short interruption the deceased spent her entire lifetime here in Covington, after coming to this country.
For many years, Mrs. Wagner had not been so well, suffering at times from kind of choking spells, for this reason she avoided going out into public places. Early on Wednesday morning she was heard to be breathing with difficulty, the family arose, gave her attention, called a physician but she died within a very short time. Death being due to goiter and heart trouble. Mrs. Wagner was a quiet, unassuming, home loving woman. A faithful wife and loving mother. She will be greatly missed by the husband and children. Truly in the midst of life we are in death.
The family desire to thank their neighbors and friends for all deeds of kindness and words of sympathy in this time of sorrow over the death of wife and mother.
