Mrs. Elizabeth Reck
Mrs. Elizabeth Reck, widow of Silas Reck, who has been ill for several months from complications, passed away last evening at about ten o'clock, at her home on the corner of Walnut and Wall Streets. Mrs. Reck was nearly eighty-one years of age and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Teague who lived for many years on a farm Southeast of Covington. After her marriage to Mr. Silas Reck, they lived for many years on a farm in Mercer county, moving there from Bradford. Mr. and Mrs. Reck also lived in Warren county and in Piqua, moving to Covington seven years ago.
Mrs. Reck was highly esteemed among her neighbors and friends. She was a woman of high Christian character and her gentleness and kindness will always be remembered by those who knew her.
One daughter and two sons remain to mourn her loss, Mrs. Osa Burns of Greenville, Mr. Walter Reck of Dayton, and Dr. John Reck of Sheridan, Ind. Eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also remain. Mrs. Clara Boulton, of Denver is the only sister, Mrs. Rebecca Reed, of Park Ave. is a sister-in-law and Mrs. Orpha Turner, of Detroit, as niece. Many other relatives and friends also remain. Funeral services will be held at a quarter of two o'clock from the Presbyterian Church, Friday afternoon, Rev. Christian in charge. Burial in Gettysburg, Routzahn Bros. Funeral Directors.
