L. GUESS
GUESS, EDITH L. - Services for Edith L. Guess, 81, of
New Carlisle, mother of Mrs. Billy Williams (Phyllis Naomi) of Tipp City, were
conducted Jan. 9 at 1 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Phoneton, by the Rev.
Bobby Davis. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery. Mrs. Guess, a retired Bethel
Board of Education school bus driver, died Jan. 6 at Stouder Memorial Hospital,
Troy after a short illness. She is survived by a son, Edward E. Guess of Laura;
the daughter in Tipp City and two other daughters, Mrs. Jack Orth (Marjorie) of
New Carlisle and Janet Faye Baumgardner of New Carlisle; two sisters, Annabelle
Brenner of Dayton and Eileen Tomlin of Huber Heights; 11 grandchildren; and 14
great-grandchildren.
She was
preceded in death by her husband, Everett Guess; one daughter, Jessica L. Guess,
and one brother, Otis Blair. Funeral arrangements were completed by the Morton
& Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
