D. OHMER JACKSON
D. Ohmer Jackson, 79, Englewood, died at 8 a.m.
Monday in the Good Samaritan hospital in Dayton after a four month's illness. He had been a patient in the hospital one day.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m.
Wednesday at the Polk Grove Christian church of which he was a member, Rev.
Duane Dovas in charge with burial in Polk cemetery.
A retired farmer, Mr. Jackson was also a former
assistant postmaster at Englewood for 11 years. He was born April 7,
1871, in Butler township, Montgomery county, son of Charles and Anna Waymire
Jackson.
Survivors include five sons, Orville of Vandalia,
Marshall of Tipp City, Robert of Phoneton, Harter of Brookville, Byron of
Vandalia; three daughters, Mrs. Elma Whitmer and Mrs. Pauline Hart, both of
Tipp City, and Mrs. Donna Lodge of Englewood; brother, John of Vandalia and
27 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
